The Center for Green Schools at the U.S. Green Building Council, best known for the LEED green building rating system, is a global leader in advancing green, healthy and resilient schools. We are driving the green school movement by working directly with those implementing sustainability within school systems, equipping them with tools and resources to be the most effective change agents they can be. The areas of work we focus on include sustainable schools’ education; peer networks and professional development for staff leading sustainability and air quality initiatives; industry relevant research; and federal, state, and local advocacy that advances green schools.
