Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) is a statewide non-profit housed at James Madison University that seeks to advance air quality improvement, economic opportunity, and energy security through the deployment of alternative fuel vehicles and infrastructure, education programs, and other petroleum reduction activities. The Clean Cities program, designated by the U.S. Department of Energy, works to provide technology-neutral support to those interested in alternative fuel deployment and emissions reduction. VCC currently leads the Mid-Atlantic Electric School Bus Experience Project which connects school fleets with electric school bus technology information and demonstrations at no cost to the school district or pupil transportation provider in several states.
